You Know You’re 30 When…

1. The highlight of your week was going to bed early (You’re sure to tell everyone you meet)
2. You’d rather join a club then go to a club
3. You get upset about having to use unplanned vacation days
4. The thought of Jury Duty sends you into a fit of rage
5. Your idea of the perfect vacation is doing absolutely nothing
6. Those old sports injuries turn into physical therapy and spa sessions
7. Out of town travel has to be cleared by your employer and your physician
8. You opt for comfortable over couture any day of the week
9. Spotting a grey hair is the end of the world as you know it
10. The best Friday nights are the ones when the kids/neighbors are in bed on time and all you can hear is silence
11. You attribute every bodily malfunction to being 30
12. You consider 21-year-olds to be babies (Aren’t they precious?!)
13. You are appalled by the sign that says you must have been born before 1993 to purchase. (You remember 1993!)
14. You finally sympathize with your parents’ point of view
15. You actually read the fine print
16. You refuse to accept anything with 19% APR (Even if it’s free)
17. Your only plan for the next ten years is to stop planning
18. A closed door in your parents house at night makes you cringe (Heaven only knows)
19. Running at full speed equates to three physical therapy sessions
20. You start parenting your parents
21. You start being offended by things that entertained you ten years ago
22. You hear a screaming child and are torn between dialing 911 and grabbing a belt
23. You remember the last census
24. You mentally replay everything you ate in the last 24 hours to determine why you have that pain
25. You know the lyrics “Mercy, Mercy Me… Things Ain’t What They Used To Be” are true
26. You are thinking about the next election cycle two years in advance
27. Vitamins and/or medication are a regular part of your routine
28. You’ve finally learned to laugh at yourself
29. You acknowledge that you need more than six hours of sleep
30. You read this and agreed to at least one
